Hey, who wants to buy the new Alien Quadrilogy? Wait a minute, WHAT THE HELL IS A QUADRILOGY???? Obviously the people making the Alien products said to themselves: "Hey the Lord of the Rings trilogy is doing great. But we have four parts, not three. Quadrilogy!"Now, I feel the need to say that anyone with half a brain can break down the word trilogy into its two respective parts: tri, meaning 3; and logy which comes from the logos, meaning paper -- obviously not everyone will know that, but they should know the first part. So if you can break down trilogy into tri and logy, and you want to make it four instead of three, to be a little smarter than dumb shouldn't you call it a quadlogy? Of course not, because that sounds dumb! So obviously to make it not sound dumb you should use part of the word "tri" and make it quadrilogy! I really hope the dumb product marketers for the Alien movies have realized the correct word is Tetralogy (which sounds way cooler than Quadrilogy), and it only took me about 9 seconds on the internet to find it.
In other stupid news, I got myself onto a class action lawsuit because some credit companies were unfairly putting negative marks on my credit score due to other people's credit in my family affecting mine without my credit report saying "This account is really not Adam's, but someone else's." So the lawyers organizing this lawsuit found me one way or another and said I was in unless I opted out. Not really caring that much I didn't opt out (and I lost the papers to do so anyway), and eventually one of my credit card companies sent me a letter urging me to opt out because it "wouldn't be worth it." Not wanting to get bullied around by "the man", I ignored them and yesterday I got the settlement! Want to know how much it was?

It's a good thing I already have the Alien Legacy boxed set. I'm not sure I could deal with something on my DVD rack that said "Quadrilogy" on it.
And it is just me, or does Quadrilogy sound like the name of some alien race in a bad sci-fi movie?
All of this makes me wonder why qaudrillion is a word. I mean, it has the "ri" in it just like "Quadrilogy". So, shouldn't it really be quadillion at the very least. Or, maybe "tetrallion", "tetrillion", or ummm, I give up.
It says why right there in that link. Words such as quadrillion and quadruped both come from quattuor, which I do believe is taken directly from French.
In the case of trilogy and tetralogy, it looks like it's taken directly from Greek (where tetra is used for a quantity of 4).
That's the problem with a language that has its roots in too many other languages, especially when people assume that just because quadrillion is a word that quadrilogy is also a word (again, a tiny bit of research shows that tetralogy is the correct word).
